Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safe preparation and storage of beverages and food items.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service, with knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing payments, and giving accurate change.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours effectively.
