Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and detailed patient assessments to diagnose health conditions accurately.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following best practices for safety and efficacy.
- Perform advanced clinical procedures such as suturing, spinal taps, catheterizations, and dermal filler injections.
- Manage acute pain cases and provide specialized care in settings like emergency rooms, intensive care units (ICUs), and trauma centers.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for comprehensive medical documentation.
- Engage in patient education and health coaching to promote wellness and adherence to treatment plans.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practice.
- Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review for optimal patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Support telehealth services by providing remote consultations with a focus on accessible patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in relevant specialties such as family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or emergency medicine.
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center preferred), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics.
- Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
- Demonstrated skills in performing complex procedures such as suturing, spinal taps, catheterizations, dermal fillers, and IV insertions.
- Critical care experience in ICU or emergency room settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of coding systems including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding practices for accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with Workers' Compensation law, hospice & palliative medicine principles, infectious disease care protocols, and occupational health standards preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children (pediatric care), seniors (geriatrics), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring memory or dementia care.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education, team collaboration, and case management activities.
- Additional qualifications such as experience with telehealth platforms, medical imaging interpretation (sonography), sterile processing techniques, or esthetic laser treatments are advantageous. Pay: $136,596.36 - $164,503.14 per year
