Role Description The Quality Control Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based at 865 Insustrial Rd Sumter, SC 29150. This position is responsible for inspecting concrete products and materials to ensure they meet established quality and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing visual and dimensional checks, documenting inspection results, and identifying nonconformities in production processes. The inspector collaborates with production staff and supervisors to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain compliance with company and industry specifications. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, following safety procedures, and supporting continuous improvement in quality practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control and Inspection to evaluate concrete products, materials, and processes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Assurance/Quality Control to support standards, procedures, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to report findings, collaborate with production teams, and clearly document quality issues.
- Knowledge of construction materials, especially concrete, and familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret commerical and /or state drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or a related field; prior quality inspection experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in quality or construction are a plus.
- Must be able to work in a yard work enviorment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- ACI Field Concrete Testing Certification preferred.
- PCI Leve I/II Inspector preferred.
