Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to menu specifications and recipes
- Cook a variety of menu items with precision and consistency, maintaining high food quality standards
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure cleanliness and hygiene
- Assist with meal prep tasks, including chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients for service
- Support kitchen operations during busy hours by managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent food service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Kitchen experience in restaurants or catering environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle various kitchen tools safely
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling procedures
