Position Summary
The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months. This role focuses on responsive caregiving, supporting early development, and building strong, trusting relationships with infants and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, loving care including feeding, diapering, and soothing infants
- Follow individual feeding, sleeping, and care plans for each child
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized infant classroom
- Observe and document infant development and daily activities
- Engage infants in age-appropriate sensory and motor activities
- Practice safe sleep guidelines and health/safety procedures at all times
- Communicate daily with parents regarding their child’s routine and progress
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- Maintain required staff-to-child ratios at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- CDA in Infant/Toddler or Early Childhood Education (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of infant development and responsive caregiving practices
- Ability to lift, carry, and care for infants throughout the day
Required Certifications
- Highschool Diploma
- Background check clearance

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
