Duties
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring quick and friendly service.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are appealing and accessible.
- Perform stocking duties, including receiving shipments, organizing inventory, and managing stock levels.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support supervisory staff by overseeing cash handling procedures and ensuring adherence to store policies.
- Engage customers with friendly communication, promote store promotions, and provide personalized shopping assistance.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key.
- Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions, balancing registers, and performing retail math calculations.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for connecting with diverse customers.
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for supporting team efforts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking and merchandising.
