Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems including powertrain, suspension, electrical, and transmission components.
- Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing worn or damaged parts, including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical wiring.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Conduct wheel alignments and vehicle suspension system repairs to ensure proper handling and safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Inspect vehicles for safety compliance and perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake services, and fluid replacements.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics equipment and the ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and repair is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, vehicle transmission systems, diesel engines, and vehicle suspension systems.
- Proficiency with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams interpretation, and auto estimating software.
- Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance devices.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
- Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training; dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality workmanship, and continuous learning in automotive technology.
