Adecco Staffing is hiring a 2nd Shift QA Technician role for a food manufacturing company in Westbrook, ME. The technician is responsible for ensuring ingredients and finished products meet quality and food safety standards before they reach customers.
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
New hires may initially train on 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay: Approximately $21–$25/hour (depending on experience)
Temp-to-hire opportunity.
Perform sensory evaluations (appearance, smell, taste when applicable)
Conduct analytical testing on ingredients and finished products
Record and analyze test results
Inspect production processes for compliance with quality standards
Verify labels and packaging accuracy
Manage product holds/releases and sample retention
Calibrate QA equipment
Complete documentation and data entry (Excel and internal systems)
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, GFSI, sanitation, and allergen programs.
1–3 years of QA, quality control, or food manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge of:
HACCP
GMPs
SQF
Food safety regulations
Allergen control
Label compliance
Strong computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
