Xpress Auto & Diesel is growing, and we're looking for experienced Automotive/Diesel Technicians to join our team!
We are a full-service repair company serving automotive, diesel, commercial trucks, fleets, trailers, and heavy equipment. We are looking for technicians who take pride in their work, want to grow professionally, and are committed to getting customers back on the road quickly and correctly.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As an Automotive/Diesel Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of vehicles and equipment. No two days are exactly alike, and you'll have the opportunity to work on everything from passenger vehicles to heavy-duty diesel equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, fuel, cooling, and emissions systems
- Perform engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and steering repairs
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems
- Service commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles
- Work on heavy equipment and machinery when needed
- Complete repairs efficiently and according to quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Properly document work performed and parts used
- Communicate repair needs and findings with management and other team members
- Follow all company safety procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Automotive or diesel repair experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine the proper repair
- Own basic hand tools
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred:
- ASE certifications
- Diesel experience
- Commercial truck experience
- Heavy equipment experience
- Electrical/diagnostic experience
- Fleet repair experience
- CDL or ability to obtain one
