Essential functions of the position include but are not limited to:

Maintains awareness of patient's condition, attitudes, and limitations. Recognizes adverse patient reactions or conditions and makes appropriate reports to the Physical Therapy Manager and/or to the patient's physician.

Participates in the quality assurance activities of the department.

Maintains timely and appropriate documentation on patient records.

Carries appropriate caseload within the constraints of the general guidelines as set forth by the Rehabilitative Services Director

Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapy

Current Michigan License to practice Physical Therapy or immediate eligibility for temporary licensure.

Previous Hand Therapy experience required

Certification in Hand Therapy preferred.

Previous clinical experience desirable but not mandatory for this position.

We are looking to fill a key position as a Physical Therapist. Provides consultation to physicians and others regarding appropriateness of referral to physical therapy, documents patient treatment and progress for third party payors, educates the patient and others regarding physical therapy treatment procedures, supervises assistants, aides and volunteers and participates in various projects and committees. For home services, may travel to patient home to render services.
