Hybrid Position (Approximately 50% Remote / 50% Travel & Office)
Location: Candidates must reside on the East Coast of the United States
Preferred Regions: Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, or surrounding East Coast states
Candidates may reside anywhere along the Mid-Atlantic or Eastern Seaboard of the United States, provided they are able to travel as required.

Government Sales Specialist
The federal government is one of the largest purchasers of industrial machinery and capital equipment in the United States.
Our client is seeking an experienced Government Sales Specialist to support and grow its government sales division by managing opportunities across federal, state, local government, and educational markets.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already understands government procurement and enjoys coordinating complex equipment sales from opportunity identification through contract execution.
Working closely with equipment manufacturers, internal sales teams, and government agencies, you'll play a critical role in managing bids, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering successful projects for customers across the country.

What You'll Do
- Develop and manage government sales opportunities across federal, state, local government, and educational institutions.
- Research, identify, and qualify new government sales opportunities.
- Coordinate RFQs, RFPs, government bids, and proposal submissions.
- Manage GSA and government contract opportunities from initial request through award.
- Serve as the primary liaison between equipment manufacturers, internal sales teams, and government customers.
- Coordinate project execution, including equipment logistics, freight, installation, and contract fulfillment.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable FAR regulations, NIST requirements, and CMMC standards.
- Track project progress, contractor performance, and contract documentation.
- Work closely with accounting regarding invoicing, billing, accounts receivable, and project financial coordination.
Experience We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience selling products or solutions to the U.S. Federal Government.
- Proven experience preparing, coordinating, or managing government bids, RFQs, RFPs, or contract submissions.
- Experience working with GSA schedules or Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) programs is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes.
- Experience using government procurement platforms such as:
- SAM.gov
- DIBBS
- PIEE
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as needed throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience selling capital equipment or industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of CNC machining centers, mills, lathes, press brakes, lasers, or metal fabrication equipment.
- Manufacturing or industrial equipment sales background.
- Familiarity with CMMC 2.0 cybersecurity requirements.
