Responsibilities:
- Designs, executes and implements projects focused on photopolymers, their formulations and 3D printed dental appliances including laboratory and pilot size.
- Tests and produces lab batches of products for a variety of testing and evaluates the chemical and physical properties.
- Plans and executes laboratory and pilot plant research projects.
- Develops the industrial process for 3D printable material and 3D printed dental appliances.
- Assists department supervisor in the establishment of quality management system, such as ISO and QSR and follows the quality management systems to develop and manufacture the medical devices.
- Provide revisions and training of the work instructions to the quality team members
- Perform inspections on the produced products and sample for in-coming and final products to qualify, if necessary.
- Control and manage the test equipment and standard materials for calibrations and maintenance.
- Cleans and organizes inspection room and testing machines.
- Supports the subscale mixing/blending of reactive chemicals.
- Perform general housekeeping, as needed including ordering of materials and reagents.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports to supervisor in a clear and concise manner.
- Plans and interacts with laboratory personnel and cross-functional groups engaged in development projects.
- Reports test results and project progresses in a clear and concise manner to his/her supervisor.
- Creates SOPs for 3D printable materials and 3D printed dental appliances.
- Assists his/her supervisor in the establishment of the system related to OSHA and other EHS.
- Clearly provides the instructions to his/her colleague to execute the projects.
- Provide remote or on-site technical services to customer that related with 3D printed dental appliances.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by supervisor.
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- MA or PhD degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material
- Science or related fields
- 3 - 6 years working experience in the industry related to material manufacturing
- Familiarity with photopolymers, their formulation, and 3D printing or printer preferred
- Strong knowledge of design of experiments and polymer characterization techniques
- Be flexible, forward-thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently
- Knowledge of test and analysis method/equipment preferred
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures and compliance preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Training to be provided

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
