Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred, but not required
- State licensure (or eligibility) for practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services to K-12 students with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education teams, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate progress notes, reports, and compliance documentation
- Offer guidance and training to staff and parents regarding communication strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
