Flushing Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Addiction Psychiatrist to join our expanding Department of Psychiatry and Addiction Services in Queens, New York. This opportunity offers an academic environment with patient care, teaching, research, and leadership opportunities. Physicians will help develop our new Psychiatry Residency Program planned for July 2027.

Responsibilities
- Provide consultation-liaison psychiatry and addiction services to the Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical Units, OB/GYN, Outpatient Chemical Dependence Clinic, and Acute Inpatient Detoxification Unit (CDU).
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.
- Teach and supervise medical students, psychiatry residents, and Addiction Medicine Fellows.
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry
- Eligible for unrestricted New York State medical license
- DEA registration
