The position of Finishing Operator will be responsible for the daily operation of our slitter. The Finishing Operator is responsible for productivity and the inspection of the product and will coordinate all activities within the work cell. When applicable, the Slitter Operator is responsible for training employees to the level of operator. This individual is expected to work safely, adhering to ELC safety policies and general manufacturing procedures.
The Finishing Operator will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
- Work 2nd shift
- Checking the condition of equipment before operation
- Setting up and running to manufacturing specifications
- Measuring and controlling product quality
- Meeting or exceeding productivity standards
- Loading and unloading material
- Making labels and transporting finished product
- Completing daily production reports accurately
- Maintaining a clean machine and work area
- Performing related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
This position may require:
- Routinely Lifting up to 75 pounds
- Working a 10-hour fixed shift
- Working overtime
- Weekend work
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
Qualified applicants may be required to take and pass ELC testing as a part of the selection process.
