Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards and individual student needs
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, organized, and positive learning environment through effective classroom management techniques
- Foster strong communication with families regarding child development milestones, behavior management strategies, and educational progress
- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings with a focus on special education or developmental disabilities
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to develop tailored lesson plans that meet diverse learner needs including IEP goals
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and specialists
- Childcare certification or relevant early childhood education credentials required; additional certifications in special education or behavioral health are a plus
