We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kelly Farms. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing things the right way, and is looking for a company where they can build a long-term career.
Whether your experience comes from apartments or another mechanical field, we value individuals who have a strong understanding of how things work and a willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare apartments for new residents, ensuring each home is ready and well cared for
- Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform maintenance and repairs on:
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing systems
- HVAC systems
- Appliances (small and large)
- Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the community, including grounds and amenities
- Maintain pool and spa areas during season
- Complete painting touch ups and general upkeep as needed
- Participate in preventative maintenance programs
- Handle both routine and emergency maintenance needs
- Rotate on-call responsibilities with the maintenance team
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members
- Demonstrate integrity and care in all aspects of your work
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in maintenance or a mechanical field (apartment experience is a plus, but not required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, practical mindset
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Professional and respectful when interacting with residents
- HVAC certification is a plus
- Ability to be part of an on-call rotation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk the property regularly, including stairs and uneven surfaces
- Ability to use ladders and work at heights when needed
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform tasks that may require bending, kneeling, or reaching
