About the Role
As a Marine Shipwright and Outfitter, you will play a vital role in the construction and renovation of sophisticated maritime vessels. You will utilize your expertise in finish carpentry, metal fabrication, and HVAC installation to ensure every ship meets the highest standards of structural integrity and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities-
Interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate and install interior and structural vessel components.

Execute precise layout, cutting, and assembly of wood and sheet metal structures to meet exact project tolerances.

Install and maintain marine HVAC systems, including the custom construction of ductwork and ventilation assemblies.

Operate a wide range of industrial fabrication machinery, including brakes, shears, and band saws, to prepare materials for installation.

Perform minor welding tasks using MIG and Arc processes to secure structural elements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex assembly challenges and ensure project timelines are met.

Maintain a safe, organized workspace while adhering to rigorous shipyard safety standards and protocols.
Qualifications-
3+ years of professional experience in marine carpentry, joinery, or vessel outfitting.

Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and shop math.

Strong working knowledge of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and rivet guns.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working at heights, in confined spaces, and wearing respiratory protection.

High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.

Prior experience in large-scale commercial shipbuilding or heavy industrial construction.

Proven ability to adapt to new marine technologies and specialized vessel systems.
