Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage extended day program, including supervising staff, communicating with families, supporting children, and ensuring programming runs smoothly daily
- Floating as needed earlier in the day to support classrooms, including individual children, during periods of transition, as well as during outings, lunch breaks, and bathroom trips
- serving as Education Director designee when Education Director is offsite/absent
- Supporting Education Director as needed with daily school plans and support plans for classrooms and individual students as needed, ensuring school space is safe and clean and in compliance with DOH regulations.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a minimum of two years classroom teaching experience, a bachelor’s or master's degree in early childhood education, NYS state certification preferred but not required if candidate has ample teaching experience. A special education background is also not required but preferred.
10 month commitment, September 2026 - June 2027;
Full-time, 10:30a-6:30p, Monday - Friday
*Optional Summer work available.

-Be knowledgeable and confident facilitating child-led, play-based learning

-Have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable engaging with families and fellow teachers
-Be responsible, self-motivated, adaptable, and punctual
-Have or be willing to obtain valid CPR/First Aid certification
-Must submit a completed NYC Department of Health Medical form, signed by a physician. This includes required vaccinations and physical examination.
