Local trucking company/ Courier service is seeking an experienced dispatcher to manage company drivers and Independent Carriers.
Responsibilities:
- Managing drivers to ensure our customers needs are met.
- Responsible for professional, timely, and effective internal and external driver interaction via phone calls and system messages, by building and maintaining a positive attitude to strengthen driver engagement in order to meet our customers needs.
- Track and trace shipments for on-time performance, and communicate updated status to customer
- Ensure all customer requests are processed and received, including orders and pickup requests
- Responsible for Planning, Scheduling, and Managing CDL-A Drivers, Box Truck Drivers, Sprinter Van Drivers, and Courier Drivers.
- Data entry/Customer Service
Requirements:
- Knowledge of DOT hours of service
- Detail-oriented and comfortable learning/using multiple software systems
- Strong planning skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Perform any other projects and duties as assigned
Salary depends on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
