Job Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team and help in providing mental health services to children, adolescents and adults. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing the DSM-5 to accurately identify client needs.
- Deliver individual and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Knowledge of resources and ability to implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams as needed including social workers, medical professionals, school counselors and case managers to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Counselor; Master's Degree in clinical mental health counseling
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy
- Demonstrated experience and willingness to work with children and their parent's providing services such as parent training, behavior modification, psychoeducation
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion while managing multiple cases efficiently.
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
