Summary:
Responsible for the daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of marina facilities, docks, equipment, and grounds to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Provides operational support to dock staff as needed and assists marina management in maintaining first-class facilities and guest experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Inspects, maintains, and repairs marina docks, fuel systems, utilities, office spaces, buildings, grounds, and equipment, including plumbing, lighting, electrical pedestals, gates, and other marina infrastructure.
- Implements and adheres to preventative maintenance programs for marina facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Maintains and repairs marina fuel systems and equipment, including changing fuel filters, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs as necessary.
- Supports fuel operations and is available to assist with fuel deliveries, fuel transfers, inventory reconciliation, and related environmental and safety procedures.
- Performs general office and facility maintenance as needed, including minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and upkeep of office equipment, furnishings, and common areas.
- Responsible for maintaining company vehicles, tenders, golf carts, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are clean, charged, fueled, and operating properly.
- Conducts routine dock walks and facility inspections, identifying maintenance deficiencies, safety concerns, and repair needs.
- Assists Marina Management and Dock Operations with meter reads, inventory management, vessel occupancy reports, dock inspections, and other operational reporting requirements.
- Maintains maintenance records and assists with tracking supplies, parts inventory, and equipment needs.
- Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assists in emergency response procedures, including fuel spill containment, severe weather preparation, fire response, and vessel recovery efforts.
- Provides operational support to the dock team and performs Dockhand duties as needed, including vessel arrivals and departures, utility connections, pump-outs, fueling assistance, and guest services.
- Routinely operates company vehicles, golf carts, forklifts, and other equipment in support of marina operations and guest services.
- Assists guests with transportation, luggage handling, provisioning deliveries, package handling, and other concierge-related services as needed.
- Maintains VHF radio and in-person communication with vessels, marina office personnel, and marina management.
- Assists with marina events, special projects, and seasonal operational requirements.
- Provides general security support by maintaining vigilance throughout the marina and reporting suspicious activity, safety concerns, or disturbances to management.
- Adheres to and upholds all marina health, environmental, and life-safety protocols and actively participates in all required training exercises and drills.
- Maintains compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by marina management.

Education/Experience:
Previous marina or boating experience preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of two year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
