Job Description: Sous Chef at Bacari Restaurant - Fine Dining

As a Sous Chef, you will be a key player in maintaining the highest culinary standards and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our esteemed guests.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing creative and exquisite menus that align with Bacari Restaurant's fine dining concept.
· Oversee food preparation, ensuring dishes are executed to the highest level of quality and presentation.
· Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
· Supervise kitchen operations during service, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of dishes to the dining area.
· Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage inventory, food cost, and kitchen supplies effectively.
· Monitor and enforce kitchen safety and sanitation standards, adhering to health department regulations.
· Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
· Assist in creating and refining recipes and developing new dishes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
· Support the Head Chef in various administrative tasks, such as scheduling and budgeting.
· Embrace a strong leadership presence in the kitchen, motivating the team and fostering a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role in a fine dining restaurant is essential.
· Culinary degree or equivalent culinary training is preferred.
· Extensive knowledge of fine dining cuisine, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a culinary team.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the restaurant's schedule.
· Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work.

PAY TRANSPARENCY POLICY STATEMENT
Compensation for roles at Bacari varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the specific client, office or remote location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Bacari provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Bacari reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California or as set forth below.
