We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our growing team at DeStefano's Market. DeStefano's is a neighborhood market and cafe dedicated to providing high quality prepared foods as well as offering a wide variety of Italian and local specialty items. The ideal candidate has a passion for the food industry and is eager to contribute to our continued success.
Duties
- Utilize Toast POS system for order processing and payment handling
- Assist with sales and upselling of menu items
- Engage in culinary tasks such as food preparation and handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the café area
- Support bussing tables and ensuring a tidy dining area
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality service to customers
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a café, grocery store, or similar food industry setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety protocols
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented approach
