Position Summary: Teacher Assistant for 3-year-olds for the 2026-2027 school year. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday 8:15- 1:15 pm. Additional 2.5 hours/week of preparation time included for a total of 23 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Classroom Responsibilities
o Assist classroom teacher in supervision and management of children
o Interact with and encourage children in daily activities
o Assist teacher as needed in planning learning activities
o Assist teacher in preparing the classroom and materials needed to complete lessons and activities each week
o Assist teacher in documentation of children’s development, health and behavior
o Prepare snacks
o Keep classroom and materials up to standards of licensing and health department
o Communicate positively with parents
2. Staff Responsibilities
o Finds a substitute teacher when needed and provides lesson plans for substitute
o Is aware of and complies with personnel policies and procedures
o Is aware of all rules regulating childcare facilities
o Attends monthly staff meetings, in-service days, and other mandatory preschool and church functions (in addition to normal work hours)
o Follows procedures outlined in staff handbook and guidelines given by director
o Represents Redeemer Early Childhood Center and Redeemer Lutheran church in a positive light in the community
o Participates in special committees or teams as needed
3. General Requirements
o Meets general requirements for all personnel as stated in 7.702.51 of the Rules Regulating Child Care Centers. Among the requirements are:
1. Staff members are to be current for all immunizations routinely recommended for adults by their health care provider.
2. All staff members must submit to the center a medical statement, signed and dated by a licensed physician or other health-care professional, verifying that they are in good mental, physical, and emotional health appropriate for the position for which they have been hired. This statement must be dated no more than six (6) months prior to employment or within thirty (30) days after the date of employment.
o Complete all required trainings annually
o Arrive fifteen minutes before the start of class and remain fifteen minutes after class ends
o Attend all school days and events as outlined on the staff calendar

o Meets Colorado Department of Early Childhood requirements for an early childhood assistant

Compensation Range:
· Compensation based on Poudre School District’s Classified Staff Salary Schedule with a starting rate of $18.35/hour.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
