Responsibilities
- Operate food processing and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to produce consistent product quality.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including baking, cutting, mixing, and packaging ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
- Follow strict food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper handling of ingredients.
- Use mechanical knowledge and basic math skills to monitor equipment performance, measure ingredients accurately, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Support food handling procedures by adhering to sanitation guidelines and proper storage practices.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely when required for inventory movement or raw material delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Experience
- Prior experience in food production, manufacturing, or a restaurant/kitchen environment is highly desirable.
- Culinary experience with cooking, baking, or food preparation enhances your ability to excel in this role.
- Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP and CGMP is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food industry practices including knife skills, food handling, and sanitation procedures is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts or mechanical equipment is a plus; certification is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes are important for success in this position.
