Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials
- Assist with order picking using warehouse management systems and ensure accurate selection of products for shipment
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods, and maintaining detailed logs
- Conduct materials handling tasks such as stacking, organizing, and storing inventory efficiently within the warehouse
- Perform equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure optimal operation of forklifts and other machinery
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory control, order accuracy, and process improvements to enhance overall warehouse distribution efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts (including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo), pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory tracking
- Mechanical knowledge or basic repair skills for equipment maintenance is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and equipment use
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced environment
