Position Overview:
We are seeking an Experienced Medical Assistant with a strong background in plastic surgery. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, assisting in consultations, in-office procedures, minor surgeries, and ensuring smooth pre- and post-op patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeon with in-office procedures (e.g., liposuction, labioplasty, local anesthesia surgeries)
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies
- Document patient history, vitals, and treatment plans in EMR system
- Provide pre-op and post-op patient education and support
- Monitor patients during procedures under physician guidance
- Coordinate patient scheduling, surgical bookings, and follow-ups
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and OSHA standards
- Manage inventory and sterilization of surgical tools
- Handle lab work coordination and surgical consents
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a plastic surgery, dermatology, or cosmetic practice
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Experience with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks, Nextech, or similar)
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical assisting, and aesthetic procedures
- Polished, professional demeanor with excellent bedside manner
- Comfortable with fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment
Bonus Skills:
- Phlebotomy
- IV insertion or PRP experience
- Bilingual (Spanish, Russian, or French preferred)
Schedule & Compensation:
- Monday–Friday
