Barback – Opening Team
Pay: $12.00 per hour + Tip-Out (when applicable)
Expected Hours: 20–35 hours per week

High Key on Lee is a brand-new neighborhood bar opening in Cleveland Heights, and we're looking for hardworking, dependable barbacks to join our opening team.
As a barback, you'll play a key role in keeping our bartenders efficient and our guests happy. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in their work, and is always looking for ways to help the team succeed.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in learning the bar business and growing into a bartending position in the future.
Responsibilities
- Keep the bar fully stocked with beer, liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, and supplies
- Change kegs and restock coolers throughout the shift
- Wash, sanitize, and organize all glassware, bar tools, dishes, and equipment used behind the bar
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout the shift
- Remove trash, recycling, and empty bottles as needed
- Assist bartenders during busy service periods
- Receive and organize deliveries
- Occasionally run food orders from the kitchen to guests
- Monitor the bar area and guests to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment
- Check guest identification when appropriate and assist in ensuring responsible alcohol service
- Alert bartenders or management to any guest concerns, safety issues, or signs of intoxication
- Help with opening and closing duties
- Perform other duties as needed to support the team and provide an exceptional guest experience
Qualifications
- Previous bar, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to stay busy throughout the shift
- Friendly, professional attitude with excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Evening, weekend, and late-night availability required
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, including kegs, cases of beer, and ice
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
