American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring an active Washington RRT license in hand and at least 1 year of experience

Short term acute care hospital that is a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
-
Teaching hospital setting with 629 staffed beds
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
-
Patient ratio of 1:11
-
Weekend rotation required every other weekend
-
Block scheduling required
-
Floating between units required
-
No on-call requirements
-
Uses Epic EMR system
-
Any scrub color accepted for RRT staff
-
No parking fees
-
Active Washington RRT license required in hand at time of submission

License required if applicable
-
Minimum 1-2 years of experience required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Trauma Level I experience preferred
-
Experience with medication delivery systems including aerosol setups, MDI, and nebulizers
-
Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
-
Airway management skills including extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
-
Ability to interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
-
Experience in Emergency Department and Pediatric settings preferred
-
Trauma and Rapid Response experience preferred
-
Two professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
-
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
-
Provide respiratory therapy services including medication administration, ventilator management, and airway care
-
Participate in rapid response and trauma situations as needed
-
May be required to float between sister facilities within the state
-
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate

Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
