American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring Epic experience, ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications, and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Position is in a Medical ICU (MICU) within a cancer hospital setting
-
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
-
Common diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis
-
Common treatments include mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, plasmapheresis, and complex medication regimens

Many patients have underlying pulmonary and GI conditions requiring bronchoscopy or endoscopy

Scheduled for night shifts (7p–7:30a), 3x12-hour shifts per week

Epic EMR experience is required

Active OH RN license or Compact RN license required

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Proficiency with mechanical ventilation and IV starts required

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or fewer

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
