Production Associate

Forge Industrial Staffing in Grand Rapids (Cascade) is currently seeking a Production Associate for an opening with a manufacturing company located in Hastings, MI. The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail, a good attitude, and the ability to adapt to changing production needs while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Requirements of Production Associate
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One (1) year of previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and mechanical aptitude to meet quality and performance standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, and lifting (overhead, waist, and below waist), as well as pushing and pulling
- Excellent attendance, strong attention to detail, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to rotate through various work cells

Responsibilities of Production Associate
- 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm (M-F, 8-hour shifts) or 3pm-1:30am (M-TH, 10-hour shifts)
- 3rd shift: 11pm-7am (Sun-Thurs, 8hour shifts) or 8:30pm-7am (Sun-Wed, 10 hour shifts)
- Manufacture fiberglass products in accordance with production standards
- Inspect products, record and report findings, and take appropriate corrective action as needed
- Rotate through various work cells to support overall production needs and ensure process understanding
- Wear task-appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures, including ITAR compliance requirements
This position reports directly to the Team Lead/Department Supervisor. Associates will be working with fiberglass products and must be flexible, proactive, and capable of responding to production requirements. This position requires access to technical data subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). In accordance with federal law, applicants must qualify as a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.
