Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC/Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems, ensuring our properties operate smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will help uphold our commitment to quality living environments and exceptional property maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and service appliance repairs to ensure all systems function optimally.
- Utilize HVAC design knowledge to assist in system upgrades or new installations aligned with property needs.
- Operate brazing equipment and perform equipment repair tasks to maintain operational standards.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service reports, and safety documentation for all work performed.
- Respond promptly to field service requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues affecting property operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, appliance repair or mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of construction principles and property maintenance best practices.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans effectively.
- Experience with appliance repair, and equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience in brazing and equipment troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
- Certifications in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration), ammonia refrigeration systems, or related fields are advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety protocols. Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
