TITLE: Building-Based Substitute Teacher
LOCATION: Cheektowaga Central High School
WORK SCHEDULE: Ten-Month School Year
The Cheektowaga Central School District is seeking a dependable and qualified Building-Based Substitute Teacher for Cheektowaga Central High School. The successful candidate will report to the High School each scheduled school day and provide instructional coverage as assigned.
- Reports to Cheektowaga Central High School each scheduled school day.
- Provides classroom coverage for absent teachers as assigned by the building administration.
- Implements lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher.
- Maintains a safe, structured, and respectful learning environment.
- Supervises students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, or other assigned areas.
- Follows all District policies, procedures, and building expectations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the building administration.
- Previous experience working with high school students preferred.
- Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and administrators.
- The Building-Based Substitute Teacher is expected to report daily in accordance with the District's school calendar.
- This position does not include health, dental, or other employee benefits.
- The employee will receive one paid sick day for each completed month of service, subject to applicable District policies and regulations.
- This is a temporary substitute position and does not lead to tenure or seniority rights.
