First Insurance Agency is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position provides support to our insurance customers and agents through excellent customer service, bookkeeping assistance, policy servicing, and insurance quoting activities.
Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, assisting with insurance-related inquiries, policy changes, billing questions, and general office support. The ideal candidate will hold a Property & Casualty (P&C) license and a Life and/or Health license, or be willing to obtain the required licenses upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with insurance questions and requests.
- Provide outstanding customer service to policyholders and prospective clients.
- Process policy changes, renewals, endorsements, and other insurance transactions.
- Assist with quoting personal and commercial insurance lines within licensing authority.
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
- Perform bookkeeping and administrative duties for the agency.
- Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers and agents regarding customer accounts.
- Support daily office operations and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred.
- Life and/or Health Insurance License preferred.
- Willingness to obtain required insurance licenses if not currently licensed.
- 1-2 years of experience in an office, administrative, customer service, banking, or insurance environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
