Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and caring Preschool Director to lead our school. We are looking for a strong leader who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys developing great teams, and takes pride in creating an exceptional experience for children and families.
The Director will oversee the day-to-day operation of the school while building a positive, professional, and family-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily school operations while maintaining high standards and full compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements
- Hire, onboard, train, develop, and support teachers and staff, fostering a positive culture and consistent performance
- Ensure the school curriculum is implemented with quality and consistency
- Build strong relationships with families and serve as a visible, approachable leader throughout the school
- Lead tours and confidently engage prospective families to support enrollment growth
- Manage staffing, scheduling, enrollment, and other operational priorities to ensure the school runs smoothly
- Maintain a safe, healthy, nurturing, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and families
- Partner closely with ownership to continuously strengthen the school, its team, and the overall family experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, including at least 1 year in a leadership role; Director experience strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of South Carolina childcare licensing regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of child development and staff development
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
