Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation
- Support medication administration under supervision, following strict HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments in memory or behavioral health units
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service
- Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper aseptic techniques and adhering to protocols for infectious disease care
- Document patient progress in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner with attention to detail and accuracy
Skills
- Proven experience working as a CNA in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, or outpatient clinics
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical procedures essential for quality patient care
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for efficient medical documentation
- Experience providing specialized care including hospice support, pediatric or geriatric care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
- Ability to perform catheter care, phlebotomy procedures, and operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across urgent care, inpatient units, outpatient clinics or home & community care settings
