Overview
Prestige ABA Therapy Services, Inc is seeking a full time detail oriented Therapy Clinic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe sanitary, and welcoming environment for clients, families, and staff. The Custodian will be responsible for routine cleaning and disinfecting of therapy rooms, treatment areas, common spaces, restrooms, and other areas throughout the outpatient clinic.
The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a well-organized environment and understand the importance of cleanliness and infection prevention in a pediatric therapy setting. This position plays an important role in supporting the health, safety, and comfort of clients receiving ABA, Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech Therapy (ST) services.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect therapy rooms, treatment areas, waiting areas, common spaces, restrooms, and other designated areas throughout the clinic.
- Sanitize frequently touched surfaces, including tables, chairs, door handles, light switches, and other high-contact areas.
- Clean and maintain floors through routine sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Empty and properly dispose of routine clinic waste in accordance with facility procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of therapy spaces between and throughout scheduled clinic activities as needed.
- Follow established infection prevention and sanitation procedures appropriate for an outpatient healthcare setting.
- Safely handle and store cleaning products and disinfectants according to manufacturer instructions and facility safety procedures.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Keep cleaning supplies and equipment properly stored and inaccessible to clients.
- Report spills, maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or other environmental concerns to management promptly.
- Help maintain a clean and organized environment that is appropriate for children and individuals receiving therapy services.
- Follow all clinic safety, sanitation, confidentiality, and workplace policies.
- Perform additional cleaning and environmental tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred.
- Healthcare, medical, school, daycare, or pediatric facility cleaning experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning, sanitation, and infection prevention practices.
- Ability to safely use cleaning products and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent cleanliness standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established safety procedures.
- Professional and respectful communication with clients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work appropriately in a pediatric outpatient therapy environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform routine physical activities associated with cleaning duties.
Work Environment
This position is based in an outpatient pediatric therapy clinic serving individuals receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech Therapy (ST) services. The Custodian will work around clients, families, therapists, and other clinic staff and is expected to maintain a professional, safe, and welcoming environment at all times.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
