Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting practices.
- Ensure all food items are accurately assembled, garnished, and presented according to restaurant standards before delivery to guests.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining a hygienic work environment by performing bussing duties and clearing tables efficiently.
- Support food safety protocols by properly handling food items, adhering to sanitation standards, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely food delivery and guest service.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including portioning or garnishing dishes under supervision.
- Provide friendly, in-person customer service by checking on guests’ needs and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and proper cleaning techniques.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and interact positively with guests.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for order processing is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and basic food preparation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude with excellent guest service skills to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
