Position Overview
As a Construction Project Manager - ISP, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Inside Plant (ISP) construction activities supporting data center, telecommunications, and fiber infrastructure projects. You will serve as the primary liaison between customers, subcontractors, vendors, field leadership, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality expectations. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, structured cabling systems, network construction, and project delivery. Success requires exceptional communication skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage complex construction scopes from planning through turnover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ISP construction activities for data center, telecommunications, and fiber infrastructure projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, contracts, change orders, and overall project performance.
- Coordinate construction activities between customers, subcontractors, vendors, utility providers, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Support proposal development, scope definition, procurement planning, and preconstruction activities.
- Identify project risks, schedule impacts, constructability concerns, and operational challenges while developing practical solutions.
- Ensure project activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements and customer expectations.
What You'll Do
- Manage ISP construction activities supporting hyperscale data centers, telecommunications networks, and mission-critical infrastructure developments.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, network operations, commissioning, procurement, and project controls teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review telecommunications drawings, structured cabling plans, pathway layouts, schedules, specifications, and project documentation.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, staffing plans, procurement strategies, and construction execution plans.
- Monitor project progress, financial performance, manpower utilization, and stakeholder commitments to support successful project outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted partner for customers, subcontractors, field teams, and leadership throughout project delivery.

What It Takes
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, Business, or a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing ISP construction projects supporting telecommunications, fiber optic, broadband, data center, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, fiber optic networks, ISP construction practices, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret telecommunications drawings, fiber route plans, rack layouts, pathway designs, schedules, and technical documentation.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Knowledge of carrier, utility, and telecommunications construction practices, permitting requirements, and deployment methodologies.
- Experience supporting project estimating, procurement planning, constructability reviews, and technical issue resolution.
- Experience with Procore or similar project and construction management software preferred.
- RCDD, telecommunications infrastructure, fiber network deployment, or data center experience preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, financial, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder groups.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and support onsite project assignments as required.
