Job Summary: Jans Corporation is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from planning through closeout. This role requires a strong background estimating and managing commercial construction projects, the ability to coordinate schedules, budgets, documentation, subcontractors, and vendors, and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams, field leadership, and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality projects while supporting Jans Corporation’s reputation for excellence, integrity, and teamwork.
Hours: A typical workweek is Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, actual working hours and days may vary due to project deadlines; May require weekend or evening work at times.
Compensation: Starting at $80,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling
-
Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules, timelines, milestones, and work plans to support successful project execution.

Lead pre-construction planning efforts, including coordination of permits, logistics, subcontractor onboarding, and project start-up activities.
Document Control and Administration
-
Manage and organize project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and progress reports.

Ensure accurate and timely distribution of project information to all stakeholders.
Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination

Lead communication and coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, labor, and services.

Manage procurement schedules, delivery timelines, and follow-up activities to keep projects moving forward.
Quality, Safety, and Compliance Oversight

Monitor construction activities to ensure work complies with project specifications, applicable codes, safety requirements, and company standards.

Coordinate inspections, address project issues, and drive corrective actions to maintain quality, safety, and schedule expectations.
Budget Management and Cost Control

Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing invoices, monitoring expenses, and supporting accurate cost reporting.

Review subcontractor billings, manage change order activity, and identify cost impacts that may affect project performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

5+ years managing commercial construction projects as a project manager.

Residential project management experience is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

General Understanding and proficiency in project management, scheduling, and Microsoft

Products.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take feedback from team members.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with periodic job site visits.

May require extended hours during bid cycles or project deadlines.
