Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Field Superintendent are to manage efficient and profitable field operations for initial installation, field service, and warranty work from release through final close. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining and reporting the progress and status of all units in assigned communities, developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers, and ensuring timely and effective communication with staff, design teams, builder representatives, and sales teams to support accurate and efficient workflow.
Additional responsibilities include field measurements, inspection of installations, service and warranty work, conflict and issue resolution, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, attending required builder meetings, and conducting field safety inspections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee, analyze, and instruct installers on proper procedures, reporting requirements, and quality standards in strict adherence to HVC Installation Standards and industry best practices. Ensure quality workmanship is maintained, and coordinate return visits as needed to complete jobs or correct deficiencies through the installation and/or service and warranty scheduler. Maintain timely and effective communication with installers and the Builder’s Responsible Party.
- Manage each installation with a minimum of three required FSR touchpoints: field measure, installation audit, and service audit. Document and communicate audit punch completion within a maximum of 15 days after installation, with final sign-off from the Builder’s Responsible Party
- Perform field measurements in a timely manner to meet builder installation schedules. Issue and distribute Field Measure Alerts (FMA) as needed in real time and follow through to completion and/or correction.
- Manage issue and conflict resolution, including coordination with the Builder’s Responsible Party, installers, and trades. Oversee back-charge research and resolution, service and warranty coordination and inspection, and maintain appropriate inventory records and levels to support real-time corrections.
- Inspect and document all installed cabinetry within two (2) business days of initial installation. Order required parts in real time at the time of inspection to ensure completion of the installation. Follow up through completion and distribute inspection documentation to the Builder’s Responsible Party, Install and Service Manager, and Installation/Service and Warranty Coordinator. Complete Field Measure Alerts as required through resolution.
- Conduct field safety inspections of job sites and equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Access and maintain company reporting systems and customer databases to track and report unit status across assigned communities from build through closeout.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all installation-related issues and provide job site project management support.
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High level of integrity with the ability to remain composed and effective under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain and job site conditions
- Valid driver’s license in good standing, issued in the state of employment
- Strong independent decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage competing deadlines
- Self-directed and proactive; works independently with a high sense of urgency and initiative

- Professional demeanor in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Odoo, SupplyPro, and similar systems
EDUCATION / QUALFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of cabinet installation or related trade experience
- Minimum of 2 years of construction or related supervisory experience
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires daily travel to multiple job sites
- May be required to travel to vendor locations on occasion.
- May be required to travel for training on occasion.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance that always meets the company’s requirements
