PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To plan and manage the overall shipment activities for the CCBU department. Directs and coordinates activities of associate staff in preparation of and shipment of finished goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implements and maintains a crating and shipping process that complies with established internal documentation.
§ Responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating the activities of the CCBU crating/shipping staff. Plans daily crating and shipping operations, establishing priorities and sequences for shipping product.

Ensures product shipment in according to company standards as outlined in Work Instructions.

Coordinates shipping activities to insure quantity and quality of products meets established specifications.
§ Ensures that production employees receive training on and understand each Work Instruction for their function(s).
§ Ensures employees have timely job specific and safety training to perform their duties.
§ Ensures that required documentation for crating/shipping, training, etc. is completed timely and accurately.
- Directs the workflow in the CCBU crating/shipping department and schedules work hours for assigned to employees.
§ Responsible for performing all supervisory functions of hiring, evaluating, disciplining and approving employee-related transactions.
§ Responsible for training employees in the performance of their jobs and providing feedback.
§ Collects, monitors, and maintains performance metrics.
§ Support the development and improvement of process for crating/shipping, warehouses and other service operations.
§ Follows all Quality System and ISO requirements
§ Maintains a safe work environment through safety training for employees, identifying hazards in the work place and correcting them, and providing discipline, when necessary, for violation of Company safety rules.
§ Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by identifying all safety hazards and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Responsible for ensuring all Service Operations employees are utilizing proper lifting and material movement techniques at all times.
- Responsible for ensuring all work related injuries are reported to Human Resources.
§ Adheres to and supports Quanta’s Corporate Policies and Procedures.
§ Actively works to improve processes in the company and its relationship to the community.
§ Maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisor and the public.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-
Two (2) to Five (5) years experience in a high technical service/repair, electronic manufacturing environment.

Minimum two (2) years supervisory/lead experience.

Previous experience in an electronic service environment preferred.

Experience in writing procedures according to applicable regulations.
-
Training and/or experience implementing shipping processes.
-
B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Production and Operations Management or related field preferred.

Certificate in manufacturing or process improvement preferred.
SAFETY
