Business Development Associate (Part-Time)

This role is for someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships. You'll be one of the first impressions of SocialSoule, connecting with business owners, creating opportunities, and helping us grow our client community.
This is not a high-pressure sales role. We believe in relationship-first business development through thoughtful outreach, genuine conversations, and long-term partnerships.
What You'll Do :
Lead Generation
- Research and identify businesses that align with our ideal client profile.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Keep accurate CRM records and notes.
Outreach & Relationship Building
- Conduct personalized outreach through email, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other channels.
- Follow up consistently with prospective clients.
- Build authentic relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
- Schedule qualified discovery calls for the founder.
Partnerships & Networking
- Build relationships with referral partners and complementary businesses.
- Attend occasional virtual or in-person networking events when applicable.
- Represent SocialSoule professionally in every interaction.
- Identify partnership opportunities that support long-term growth.
Sales Support
- Track outreach activity and pipeline progress.
- Share ideas to improve our client acquisition process.
- Collaborate with the founder to ensure qualified leads have a seamless experience.
Who You Are
You're someone who enjoys talking to people and building relationships. You're naturally curious, organized, and comfortable starting conversations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in business development, sales, customer success, account management, marketing, hospitality, recruiting, or another client-facing role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Highly organized with strong follow-up habits.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive.
- Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
- Comfortable learning new software and CRM systems
- Daytime hours only — start times between 8-9 AM, no evenings or weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a marketing or creative agency.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HoneyBook, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar.
- Experience with Outbound Calling, LinkedIn outreach or email prospecting.
- Understanding of digital marketing or social media.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve research, communication, or productivity.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you'll:
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Consistently generate qualified discovery calls.
- Build meaningful relationships with business owners and referral partners.
- Help improve and refine our business development process as the agency grows.
Compensation
- $20/hour
- 10–15 hours per week

- Bonus for new clients that sign and complete their first payment.

As SocialSoule continues to expand, there will be opportunities for increased hours, additional responsibilities, higher compensation, and advancement into a Business Development Manager position.
