JOB DESCRIPTION
A Mortuary Removal Specialist is the face of the funeral home and will be the first contact of the funeral home to the families. This job requires you to talk with family members, medical staff, law enforcement, and others to collect information, discuss family wishes, and complete required paperwork. The Mortuary Removal Specialist will develop a plan or strategy to remove the decedent (body) from the home, roadway, hospital bed, or other location where a death has occurred. This job requires someone who enjoys being on the road and traveling within their assigned area, outside of their area, and sometimes long trips. This position works under extreme conditions, rain, wind, cold, hot, and indoor environments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
A Mortuary Removal Specialists is unlike any other position, it requires flexibility, adaptability, and a high attention to detail. Here are some of the requirements:
· Ability to be on-call for 5 days a week and 24 hours a day. Does not require on-site work. You may go or do anything within your assigned area, you are only subject to call.
· Ability to lift, pull, or push 75+ pounds.
· Ability to speak, read, and write legibly.
· Clean driving record and Class “D” minimum
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Mortuary Removal Specialists work on a commission or per call basis with full time pay starting at $41,600 and could reach as high as $70,000. This varies greatly between team members with those working more and running the most calls earning the highest.
