In this front-of-house role, you are the critical bridge between our clients and our repair bays. You will guide customers through their service visits by listening to their concerns, translating technical diagnostics into clear explanations, and managing their repair experience from drop-off to keys-back.
What You Will Do:
- Greet & Consult: Welcome customers warmly, actively listen to their vehicle issues, accurately document symptoms on the repair order, and set clear expectations.
- Present Estimates: Take digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) from technicians and confidently present findings to customers, explaining the why behind recommended repairs.
- Drive Sales & Approvals: Secure customer authorizations for necessary maintenance and repairs to meet monthly average repair order (ARO) targets.
- Manage Communications: Provide proactive, regular status updates via phone, text, or email so customers are never left wondering about their vehicle.
- Finalize Transactions: Review final invoices with customers at pickup, explain the work performed, handle payments, and schedule their next maintenance visit.
What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a high-volume retail sales/customer service role (automotive experience strongly preferred).
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex mechanical concepts in simple, universal language that non-automotive customers can understand.
- Sales Aptitude: Proven track record of meeting sales goals, overcoming customer objections, and building long-term trust.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with modern Shop Management Systems and Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) tools Pace and Protractor.
- Driver's License: Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
