Job Overview
We are seeking a super engaging riding instructor to help us with our farmschool classes during the week and private riding lessons as needed.
MUST be available TUE/THUR 9am-1pm to apply. Other set times we need help are Weds/Fri 4pm-7pm. PLEASE only apply if your availability matches our needs.
Position to start last at the end of August, looking for a full year commitment to teach with us.
Responsibilities
- Come up with engaging and safe riding instruction for children of all ages and abilities
- Instruct students in riding techniques, horsemanship, horse care, and safety protocols.
- Assess riders' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Maintain the health and well-being of the horses used in training sessions.
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages teamwork, discipline, and respect for animals.
- Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching equestrian riding lessons
- Strong knowledge of horse care, riding techniques, and safety practices.
- Ability to teach with a positive approach
- Experience with youth education is highly desirable.
- Experience with special needs children a huge plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with horses and young riders.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekdays, evenings and weekends as needed.
- CPR and fingerprint clearance (we can help you obtain).
- Must be reliable and punctual

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 25.0 per week
