Duties
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Assist lead teachers with implementing age-appropriate curriculum and educational activities focused on childhood development and early learning milestones
- Support children with personal care routines such as diapering, feeding, and hygiene practices in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly and accurately
- Support behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions among children
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, or related health and safety training is desirable
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws and child supervision best practices
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
