Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely, adhering to all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure workspace.
- Conduct sanitation tasks including trash removal, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and maintaining hygiene standards throughout the facility.
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care procedures to preserve their appearance and longevity.
- Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while following safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following all safety protocol procedures.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds and prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to complete cleaning duties efficiently within scheduled shifts.
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude towards colleagues and visitors alike.
