Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
Pay Rate: $35.00 – $43.00 per hour
The Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Part-Time Wound Care Nurse. In this specialized role, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring residents with acute and chronic wounds while working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to promote healing, prevent complications, and improve quality of life.

Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized wound care treatment plans.
Provide care for pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, burns, traumatic wounds, ostomies, and other skin conditions.
Perform routine skin assessments and identify residents at risk for skin breakdown.
Administer wound care treatments in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based practices.
Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy, dietary, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize resident outcomes.
Educate residents, families, and staff on wound prevention, treatment plans, and proper skin care techniques.
Evaluate nutritional status, pressure-relieving devices, and other factors affecting wound healing.
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of assessments, treatments, and resident progress.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies related to wound care and infection prevention.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
Minimum of two (2) years of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care.
Previous wound care experience strongly preferred.
Wound Care Certification (WCC, WOCN, or equivalent) is preferred but not required.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
